Karoo Quilting specializes in quilting the patchwork of other quilters. It means that I quilt the three layers (patchwork-top, batting and lining) together with beautiful quilting patterns with very good quality thread.
Each quilt differs and therefore I first have to see a piece before I quote a price. Edge-to-edge quilting is cheaper to do. Freehand quilting costs a little bit more as it is more time-consuming. Prices also depend on the size of a patchwork-top and I charge per m².
I send a quilted top back to the owner within a month. Usually it is returned earlier, but all depends on the quantity of work I already have to do.
I use Loomtex 100g batting and have in stock, but a client may provide batting of her own.
It is not necessary for clients to tack the three layers together before sending it to me. I just need the top and lining (and batting if you choose) separately.
